The Units A-D practice test is the last step to prepare you for the Summer Exam.  You will receive this in class (probably on Friday!).  There are a few questions that say "see blog"... so, here you go!

Unit A Concept 6 - try 1-2 problems from this list. Click here for problems.

Unit A Concept 7 - try 1-2 problems from this list. Click here for problems.

Unit B Concept 3 - try the couple examples that are gone over in this tutorial.  Click here for tutorial.

I think that is it - let me know if I am missing any!

UNITS A-D PRACTICE TEST ANSWER KEY! click here! Answer key is on last page!

Please note the answer key is "incomplete" for some problems.  See Mrs. Kirch or Mrs. Tamaoki for correct answers.  This occurs on:
9. (-inf,inf)
10. (-inf,6)U(6,inf)
11. [1,inf)
12. (-inf,inf)
13. 2x + h - 6
14. -1/2
15. Graph is a little hard to see unless you know how to change your window. ymin=-5, ymax=5 should help you.
26. resulting domain:  (-inf,1/4)U(1/4,inf)
30. it's a cheesy problem. Make sure you can do tougher ones!
33. They aren't inverses. So you can't verify. Sorry :)

Good luck!

First week of school playlist!

WELCOME EVERYONE!

I had a great first day with all of you and am looking forward to working with you this year.

READ CAREFULLY BELOW!

Here is what you need to do BEFORE CLASS ON FRIDAY:
1. Watch the video "Technology in Mrs. Kirch's Class"
2. Make notes on the handout from class.  If you did not pick one up, you must download and print it from the Sophia tutorial, or on the right side of the blog where it says "Important forms and information"
3. MAKE SURE YOU TRY OUT THE WEBSITES as I talk about them.  It is a very quick overview and I need to know if I need to "teach" you more about them or if you are good to go!

Here is what you need to do BEFORE CLASS ON THURSDAY:

1. Watch the video "Introduction to the Flipped Classroom" (4th one below).  While you watch, take notes on the handout I gave you.  It has lots of blanks, so make sure to pause and get them all filled in correctly!

2.  When you are done, you have 5 summary questions to answer.  You can handwrite those and turn them in, or just type them in the form that will be right below the video once you click on the link.
Make sure to answer these questions in complete, thoughtful sentences or you will be asked to do it again!

3. At the end, write down any questions you have about the Flipped Classroom.  You must write down AT LEAST ONE.

4. Look at your "Palm Tree Page" for the other things you need to get done: parent stuff, student info sheet, Edmodo, etc.  The sooner you get it done, the better!

5. Contact me with any questions - you can email me, send me a note on Edmodo, leave a message at my google voice number, etc.
